2024 CMEE Highlights JOUAV’s Drone Solutions for Marine
On October 31, the 2024 China Marine Economy Expo (CMEE), themed "Open Cooperation, Win-Win Sharing," officially commenced in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. Key attendees included Sun Shuxian, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Director of the State Oceanic Administration; Zhang Shaokang, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province; Qian Weizhong, Deputy Secretary of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Shenzhen; along with ambassadors to China from multiple countries who delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.
As China's marine economy advances rapidly, challenges in marine governance and regulation have emerged, such as "wide areas, heavy tasks, difficult detection, and challenging evidence collection." In this context, drones offer efficient solutions to marine management with advantages including high mobility, timely responsiveness, cost-effectiveness, strong monitoring capabilities, and extensive coverage.
JOUAV, through its CW Series and VTOL Hangar system, has developed comprehensive marine solutions that leverage cutting-edge technology and extensive industry expertise, providing new momentum for smart upgrades in the marine sector. These solutions have been widely adopted in areas such as maritime traffic safety, marine environmental protection, and vessel pollution control, where they have undergone rigorous testing in demanding conditions, earning positive user feedback.
Innovative Applications
Port and Channel Management in Shenzhen
A Shenzhen organization has deployed the JOUAV VTOL Hangar system for intelligent inspection of ports and waterways. This system adopts an unmanned, intelligent operational model to conduct daily inspections, significantly enhancing the efficiency and quality of port and channel surveillance.
This system comprises an automated hangar, a VTOL drone, and the Jocloud Control Platform, offering functionalities such as drone storage, autonomous takeoff and landing, automated recovery, and intelligent data analysis.
The automated hangar, equipped with the JOUAV CW-15V VTOL drone, supports various payloads (such as dual gimbal cameras, LiDARs, and high-resolution cameras) for diverse applications. It’s widely used in coastal security patrols, fisheries law enforcement, marine emergency rescue, and anti-smuggling operations.
Green Tide Control in Jiangsu
Addressing the green tide issue along the Jiangsu coast, the JOUAV CW-15D drone has been deployed to monitor algae growth, assist in the spraying process, and assess the retrieval status of seaweed nets, rafts, and ropes, while ensuring personnel safety. This drone provides real-time, extensive surveillance, offering precise support for disaster prevention.
Marine Enforcement Patrols in Zhejiang
In Zhejiang, the JOUAV CW-15V drone is used for maritime enforcement, including the detection of illegal fishing, unauthorized landings, dumping at sea, and control of "three no" vessels (vessels without identification, registration, or certification) as well as overloaded ships. This efficient aerial patrol solution complements traditional methods, promoting smarter and more precise maritime law enforcement.
